Local Artist Competition 2025 - Rosalie Bay Distilling

Rosalie Bay Distilling is seeking local artists to help bring a rare treasure to life. We’re launching Twézò Lanmè—a limited-edition rum distilled on Dominica’s Atlantic coast—and we want your artwork on the label.

Twézò Lanmè means “Treasures of the Sea” in Kwéyòl. It’s inspired by the ocean’s rhythms, our coastal culture, and the rarest cut from our distillation —a spirit that’s traditionally called the Queen’s Share, though here, we believe the true royalty is the land and sea themselves.

W H AT W E ’ R E L O O K I N G F O R :

• Label artwork to be used on the label design that reflects the spirit of the ocean, Dominica’s wild coast, and the treasures it holds.
• You might draw inspiration from:
_Sea creatures like turtles or reef fish
_The movement of waves, trade winds, or sugarcane
_Local folklore, marine heritage, or the idea of hidden treasures
• The style can be illustrative, abstract, bold, or poetic—but it must feel authentically Dominican.
• Artwork should fit a space approx. 9.25" wide by 3.5" tall with enough room to be cropped

W H AT Y O U ’ L L R E C E I V E :
• 1,000EC prize for the selected design
• Your name featured on our website, social media, and potentially the label itself
• A bottle of Twézò Lanmè from the first batch
• The chance to collaborate with our team on refining the final label

H O W T O E N T E R :
• Submit your artwork (sketch, digital mockup, 300dpi minimum at 9.25" wide x 3.5" tall, or concept)
• Submissions must be received by September 30th at 4pm
• Include your name, contact info, & a short explanation (50−100 words) of your piece & inspiration
• Email entries to KGeorge@0ceansForward.org or drop them off at Nature Island Dive or the Rosalie Conservation Center

Finalists will be selected by a local panel of judges. Labels must comply with government labeling requirements.
